Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is an British composer and musician and. Harry Styles was one among the founders of One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England, on the 1st of February, 1994. He is the son of Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles, a former student at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School was the founder of a band called White Eskimo together with three of his fellow students. Their outstanding performances allowed them to win in the Battle of Bands 2009. Though he's been attracted to music, he also aspired to become an attorney or physical therapist. He worked in the local bakery for a few hours to support his family financially. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) during the auditions in 2010 in The X Factor. The reason for this was the band split up. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge that suggested Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of the group that formed in 2010. The group performed Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Be Sucky without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart during the contest, which helped them become one of the leading contenders to win the competition. However they were placed third in the third place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell were not able to get the win in the contest. But Cowell gave Harry Styles a 2 million dollar contract with Syco.
