Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised alongside 12 other kids. Her imaginative mind allowed her to escape the pressures of daily life. Even before learning to write or read and compose herself songs. The first guitar she received was gifted to her when she turned eight. She started singing at an Knoxville Tenn station by the age of 11. She recorded her first album in the same calendar year on Gold Band Records, a tiny independent label. She made a name for herself locally while still in high school, however she always dreamed of having a bigger stage. The year 1964 was the day after her high school graduation her family moved to Nashville. The first charting record she had on Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. The syndicated television show of Porter Wagoner required the services of a new singer by this time. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after having signed in 1969 with RCA Records. Parton quit the Wagoner's band in 1974, when her solo hits like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene oversold her collaborations. Parton composed I Will Always love You to Wagoner in the aftermath of their breakup. It reached number one. The first time it made it to No. 1 was 1974.
