Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also a writer. She co-founded The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an independent liberal news site is a popular TV show host author, author and an philanthropist. Born in Greece Arianna Huffington immigrated to England together with her family around 16 years old. In Cambridge University she earned a MA diploma in Economics. She was the first student non-UK to serve as the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. When she graduated, she made her reputation as an independent syndicated columnist, and with the launch of The Huffington Post' few years later she created a voice-based website that offered critical observations on the political scenario. Her celebrity status helped her in bringing on a host of well-known contributors to publish their thoughts regarding news in the field of culture and politics. Arianna was famous in 2003 when she decided to run as an independent presidential candidate during the California recall election, to take over Governor Davis. She also headed the Detroit automobile project that was fuel efficient. Her rank was 12th on Forbes's list of the most influential women in media. That same year, Guardian listed her among the top 100 figures in media. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was named president of this group of media. It included a variety of AOL products at that time, including Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. She was born to a journalist and manager Konstantinos along with his partner Elli Stasinopoulos. The couple was close to her father, but it was the relationship she had with her mother which shaped her. She showed leadership traits throughout her childhood. The British native moved to England when she was age 16 to complete her schooling and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. She joined in the Cambridge Union college debate society throughout her college years in which she became the third and first female to serve as the president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned a Master's Degree in Economics. She worked as a music critic as well as a host on TV and columnist upon her graduation. The appearance she made in Face the music with Bernard Levin was also noteworthy. She began to write books with his guidance for editing.
